Brief
A Lecturer at the London College of Fashion required my Freelance services in order to design a website for her that could help her gather data for her PHD thesis. This website required users to select and rate several pieces of art. She would then used the data analytics to create art based on these findings as part of a larger data analytics and art study. The designs I provided were handed over to a developer who I liaised with and the lecturer was entirely pleased with the project and end design. The website worked entirely as required and the lecturer received that data she required and completed her PHD, thanking me in her thesis.
Problem-Solving
After several conversations with the client and a small workshop, I created an initial feasibility study, outlining her needs and requirements. I reviewed several sites that provide users with virtual galleries and reviewed what the needs would be for a backend system that could hold a database of user surveys. Further, into the project the client had to pair back some of her requirements due to budget constraints. Once the client had found a developer to build the app we began several meetings to discuss how to proceed. We agreed that a simpler method would be to use a build a website service such as WordPress, however I would still design the front end and then pass off the specs to the developer.

Hi-Fidelity

After initial user testing we switched the colour theme from a black background and white text to white background and black text. The client also decided that she preferred users evaluating each artwork on selection rather than during offboarding. The onboarding section was agreed upon and the client liked the GDPR agreement placing before being able to continue with the website.
Handover
The project was then exported, along with the colours, font and design in CSS and the shared files handed over to the developer.
